Van Lam Wins 65kg Gold Medal World Bodybuilding Championship

2011 WBPF Gold Medalist Van LamMalacca- Move over Van Damme, there’s a new Van in town! Van Lam a Vietnamese bodybuilder, wins the 2011 World Bodybuilding Championship in Malaysia. The contest was held November 12th and included contestants from 45 different countries. Van Lam won the gold medal for the 65kg weight division. This was the 3rd edition of the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, also known as the WBPF. The schedule was the 11th and 12th of November: Pre-Judging + Finals 60kg, 70kg, 80kg, 90kg and 100kg+.

Most people were shocked at Lam’s performance but those in the know claimed, “It was a long time coming”, as Van Lam won the bronze medal two years earlier by placing 3rd at the 2009 World Bodybuilding Championship that was held in United Arab Emirates.
